Roughly 2000 years ago a small group of peasants and slaves with no economic, cultural, or political power took that the message that the God of the Universe became flesh, that it was Jesus Christ, and that his life, death, and resurrection was available to all who believed. This message swept through the entire Roman world, eventually becoming the prominent belief of one of the greatest empires in human history. How did this happen? Who were these people? What did these peasants and slaves experience? What did they receive to accomplish this? Is this relevant today? We’re going to look at this and more through our new series studying the book of Acts.
